The AJA ADA4 4-Channel Bi-Directional Audio A/D & D/A Converter offers versatile audio conversion capabilities, perfect for professional audio and broadcasting applications. It allows seamless conversion between balanced analogue and AES/EBU digital audio. This compact and portable mini-converter can be configured as a 4-channel A/D converter, 4-channel D/A converter, or a 2-channel A/D and 2-channel D/A converter, also capable of functioning as an AES synchroniser.
The device includes an XLR breakout cable that supports 8 channels of AES audio input and output, ensuring maximum flexibility and connectivity. Audio levels can be easily configured through DIP switch control, catering to customised audio setups. It automatically accepts various inputs for synchronisation, including AES11, world clock, or video sync/colour black reference.
