Description
The Evertz 3080IPG-HD is a hardware solution designed to bridge traditional SDI video networks with modern IP networks using 3G/HD/SD SDI to IP conversion technology. As content provision increasingly leverages IP networks for broadcasting, the 3080IPG-HD stands out by offering seamless integration of SDI video with multicast or unicast IP streams. It is effective for networks that require high-quality video transfer and robust redundancy features, embodying the reliability demanded by contemporary broadcasters.
It works in concert with existing Evertz equipment such as Audio/Visual Routers and Multiplexers to form a completely redundant system, ensuring fail-safes are in place for link or UDP losses. Alongside the 3080IPX 640Gb/s Multicast tunnels switching fabric, the 3080IPG-HD enables the creation of extensive distributed routing solutions in LAN applications using 10GE, significantly reducing the need for cabling by up to six times.
The platform incorporates SDI inputs and outputs over DIN connectors and 10GigE network interfaces through SFP cages. It occupies two card slots and is compatible with a 3RU frame housing up to 2 modules, a 6RU frame for 7 modules, and a 3000/3700 frame for 3 modules.
