The ComNet CNGE5MS is a robust industrial managed Ethernet switch specifically designed for challenging environments. This hardened five-port all-gigabit switch includes three 10/100/1000Base-TX ports and two gigabit combo ports that utilise ComNet SFP modules, accommodating various fibre and connector types and distances. The switch complies with the IEEE 802.3 standard, featuring a range of Ethernet redundancy protocols such as C-Ring, ComRing, C-RSTP, and MSTP/RSTP/STP. These redundancy features ensure continued network operation in the event of malfunctions by dynamically rerouting transmissions. The CNGE5MS includes the user-friendly eConsole management interface and offers uninterrupted operation with its dual DC power input for automatic failover. The unit is equipped with configurable relay outputs for event notifications, enhancing network reliability.

The device came as part of the IT decommissioning project and was removed from a working environment.
